Best Sponge Filter for Ghost Shrimps?

I'm looking for a sponge filter for my 29g ghost shrimp tank, but I have never used a sponge filter before. I plan to breed some ghost shrimps, and definitely don't want the fries to get sucked up.

Just a tip: most species of ghost shrimp cannot breed in freshwater. Those that can go through a larval stage which makes them very difficult to raise without specialized foods and directed feeding

Guppies or mollies would likely be the easiest if you're looking for feeders to breed. Or even convict cichlids.

Fluval Edge sponge filter is the best. I use them as a mechanical filter to catch fine particles. They also soak up a lot of the colour from driftwood.

They're all about the same... Bigger the sponge and tube, the more it'll filter. I made some DIY sponge filters and they work just as good as the name brand stuff. I would rate for up to 55g for each of them. It cost me about $5 compared to $10+

+1 If you really want to use shrimp, use some low grade neos (usually rcs). They're cheap and reproduce fast once you got them going.
