Help with choosing a filter
Hey all, I am starting a 45 gallon, live plant tank. I want to get a canister filter, I was thinking the Eheim Classin 2213, but go told it's too small for my tank even though it says it's rated for a 65 gallon tank. I was then told I should get a classic 2217 for my tank, but this seems a bit expensive. A 2215 I could buy, what is your opinion. Would a wave maker help if I got a 2213 or 2215?
Thanks guys. |

Filtration wise, any of those filters will do. The problem will be flow to all parts of the tank. Even with a 2217, you might still have some dead spots so a powerhead(I like the koralia propeller type) will most likely be needed.
