Fish suggestions for a 1.5gal tank?

Fauna so far is going to be crs. Flora is an HC carpet. Anyone have any suggestions on a fish or possibly a few nano fish? Tank is 8.5"x6.5"x6.25". So it can't be too big. I'd like something that won't prey on the shrimp. Thanks in advance!

somewhatshocked has least klis with his shrimp. he mentioned that they will eat shrimp fry, but not larger shrimp. they might stress out juveniles, though.

I would recommend no fish personally but it depends on your goals for the tank and outcome for your shrimp

I'm adding CRS to this tank. I know of fish that won't eat shrimp or their mouths are too small, but they need to be in schools and that won't really work in such a small tank. I had a feeling that I probably won't be able to keep a fish or two. I was hoping someone would chime in with something other than least killifish. I'm not quite familiar with small fish.

I don't think there are any fish suitable for a 1.5 gallon tank.

There's really no fish you could keep in a tank that small. Not even Least Killifish or Endlers.

I'd go shrimp and snails only.

Yeah, i have to agree with Shocked And Coffee, theres really no fish you can do in a 1.5 gal. shrimp and snail only is the way to go here...

As if you needed a third, I +1 them all.

I wouldn't keep least killis in a tank smaller than 3G, and I wouldn't keep them with shrimp in anything under 10g.

My experience was the females picked on shrimp and smaller females.

I've since rehomed mine. I hope that helps.

On your HC carpet, I wish you luck. For some reason I never see super small tanks with them.

CRS on the other hand I think you'll be well off with post pics when you make the tank!

Thanks for the info! I wasn't planning on getting least killifish anyways. I was really wanting a nice show quality betta, but I'm sure that the CRS will turn into a feast in no time.

Glad you realize that. In fact, you'll notice shrimp act quite differently with no predators of any kind.

Yup. The only fish with my blue velvets are Green striped pencil fish. I'm sure we all know they're no harm to anything but themselves LOL. The shrimp constantly swimming all around the tank. Some even swim and hang onto the tiny stands of duckweed. It's awesome. They swim like fish too (zoom all over the tank)! My original plan was just to keep the CRS in it with nothing else. I just wanted to see if there was any possible fish to keep in it as I'm a fish keeper at heart.
