Pimple on Goldfish
Hey guys, apologies if this is a noobie post but my goldfish has had this white pimple on it's head for about a month and a half now and it's not going away. It's swimming perfectly fine and has no other signs of illness. I've done more frequent water changes and doing stress coat/salt additives to cure but nothing happens. It's currently in a 50 gal tank with two other smaller goldfish and two plecos. What is the white spot? Is there anything I can do to remedy it? Thanks!

Sometimes, usually due to bad breeding, fish can get tumors. Goldfish are prone to this due to inbreeding for sale. Do some research on goldfish and tumors as well as other diseases to make sure that is really what it is. Here is a short explanation of why goldfish may get tumors: http://www.fishchannel.com/fish-heal...ish-tumor.aspx

I would go to koko's goldfish forum.
http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/ They have the in depth knowledge to figure it out. |

Thanks, I'll take a look there and see if I can find out what it is. It was just a generic goldfish I got at a local Petsmart almost 2 years ago for a couple dollars.
