Finally took a peak in World Class Aquarium on Flatbush. Not really worthwhile to go, sexable german rams @ $8 and some rasboara for $2.50. They have a buy 3 get 1 free deal on all freshwater fish though.

World class aquarium is hit or miss. They are helpful especially if your a newbie. I had bought fish from petsmart on Atlantic and they didn't say anything about cycling a tank. Fish started to die..etc etc. I went out there and told them the problem. They gave me filter media to seed my tank and save the fish. I prefer pacific on delancey just because its easier to go to and they have a much wider and consistent selection. On another I went back to petsmart on Atlantic to voice my displeasure and I meet two people who work that really no their stuff. One has a 200 gallon reef tank and the other a 150 gallon fw tank plus others and funny enough they told me about this site and pacific aquarium.

The Petsmart on Atlantic ave is quite sub-par compared to the Petsmart in Soho. On every occasional I head out to the Atlantic ave location, their fish are always dying or diseased. Not sure why, but I feel like the customers visiting the Atlantic ave location don't give the fishstock much patronage. Either way, it's really strange the quality discrepancies in Petsmarts (I suppose this applies to Petcos as well).

Of note however, the Petsmart on Atlantic ave does carry the tissue cultured plants (i.e., crypts parva in little plastic bags) whereas the Soho location does not carry them to my knowledge.

What's the price for the little bags of crypto parva?
