The bucktooth tetra (Exodon paradoxus). They eat other fish scales :P

+1 for the rosy/ candy cane tetras, they can be really impressive when well kept. Here are a few in the ol 90-P

I like the rummynose. They swim back and forth just like they are in the Olympics.

Must say im a fan of glowlight tetras, they school better than neons it seems and i also like their color more, great for a 25 gal. you could easily do 10

Great thread.... if I were to do a 125 or something I would have to go with congos, they are incredible. Rummynose are always great schoolers, but then black neons and pristella tetras are very underrated as well in my opinion!

In my 29g I have 6 rummy nose tetras, 9 glowlight tetras, 15 neon tetras. What's next a few cardinals?

Axelrodia riesei.....Ruby Tetra. One of my favorite fish in general, actually. They're very interesting to observe in the aquarium and beautifully colored. They even get these really neat shades of fluorescent blue on their fins.

Most underrated commonly available tetras: black phantom, glowlight, lampeye, serpae, and less commonly available tetras, the ember and emperor.
