How's my stocking list?
Hello,
I'm starting a 55gal planted tank. I have plants ordered already and plan on starting to add my fish two weeks or so after they are planted. Ill be dosing PPS-Pro as well as liquid carbon and a DIY paintball co2 system. It's a 48" long tank, I'm running a t-5ho system with a 10k and 6.7k bulbs, along with a fluval 306. Here is my current stock list: Cardinal tetra - 15 Congo tetra - 8 Cory's - 6 German blue ram - pair Pearl gourami - 1 Will the rams be ok with the gourami? What are you opinions on my list? I was thinking maybe a trio of gourami and scratch the rams? Or possibly getting a pair of gourami scratch the rams and get another small school? Idk yet what do you guys think? |

Not completely sure about congo tetras, but the stock overall seems pretty good to me. Rams hang out near the bottom, and the gourami at top, so I don't think there will be an issue. I would personally stick with the plan for rams, most beautiful community fish after discus IMO. You can also do a lone angel instead of gourami, but at this point im just throwing suggestions out there

Good stock. The tetras might nip at delicate plants, but you'll probably be fine.
