could seachem flourish be harmful to snails? I read some where that iron could kill snails

thanks I wanted to give my floating plants frogbits, salvania, and some kind of floating bladdewort some fertilizer. i think i,m good to go

I use it with pinochio shrimp as well as snails in the tank and they aren't dead on me. It does have copper sulfate in it but I think in very small amuonts.

nope, the nerites I have don't flinch. it's snail safe as far as i can tell

i use it in both of my tanks, and as far as i can tell, it doesn't harm snails or shrimp. the only thing i've found harmful to snails thus far is my dwarf puffer

Since Flourish has copper in it, is there a liquid fert you would recommend that is safe for shrimp? I've got floaters that I'd like to keep happy.

Flourish has 1ppm copper in the bottle.

Since it's diluted 5ml / 250L
that 1 ppm is diluted by a factor .00002
to give
2E-11 or 0.00000000002 ppm

The 96 hr LC50 for Macrobrachium lamarrei has been shown at around 0.3 ppm
(half die in 96 hours)

I'm thinking you would really, really need to overdose to kill anything.

I started dosing flourish on a rili tank, they started making babies. Its completely safe as long as you're reasonable about it.
