Flora Without Fauna

Is anyone successfully keeping a heavily planted tank without any fauna? If so, are there any special requirements for doing so?

Thanks!

Would love to see pics ....

Lots of people here have huge grow setups and plant only tanks and tubs. I guess one thing you'd wanna look out for is any sort of micro invert like seed shrimp in a pant only tank.

Dosing Nitrates in that set up would be a must... We have had trouble in low bio-load shrimp tanks with maintaining the Nitrates above a 5 and they usually drop to a 0. Dosing macro ferts would fix that though...

How often do you change the water in a plant only tank?

I change the water once a week, since I follow EI dosing.
