Shipping fish out of the country....back home

Im planning on visiting Brazil in 2014 for the World Cup and was wondering what the laws are on shipping native fish/plants back home ?
My plan was to spend the last day or 2 by creeks & rivers with a guide, catching some native species and then shipping them back home.

Plants require phytosanitary certification and permitting - typically on both sides.

Livestock will require inspection, customs fees and such.

Stick with what you can buy in the United States. Importation in any other manner is illegal.

I figured it wouldnt be as straight forward as boxing them and sticking a stamp on lol
I guess if it was that easy, everybody would be doing it !
