Glued some Fissidens

Don't know if this has a hope of growing in well, and even if so, how long will it take? Is there a better way? I'm scared to do it with the rest of the rocks I've got in that tank.

Did I put too much glue? I'm lost. I glued some Xmas moss to a piece of DW before and it worked really well, but I'm not sure about this.
Any advice?

Looks like my driftwood after using super glue to attach some fissidens. Don't worry about the glue since the fissidens will eventually cover it. You could try taking out the other rocks and growing the fissidens on them emersed until it attaches. That method takes a few weeks though.

super glue is water soluble wouldn't it just disappear anyways?

Don't think it does when it cures above water,

i think you let it cure above water correct?

I don't think it's water soluble.... I put it in the tank right away, but did glue it put of the tank.

It looks like you may have used just a little more than necessary, but nothing to worry about. That is what it will always look like after you glue fiss, and it may irk you now, but it will grow over in a few weeks and look awesome.

Super glue isn't likely to disappear. In saltwater, we use super glue to attach corals to frag plugs or rock work. I haven't had any issues with it dissolving.

On porous materials like lava rocks, the super glue tends to get absorbed into the rock. If disturbed too much before it dries, it becomes crystalized opaque and not transparent. It is a pain, but separate the moss into single strands then place on rock and place a drop on top. Let it dry out of the water for half hour, it will not harm the moss. A better glue on porous rock is epoxy. Place a drop on the rock, it will not be absorbed into the rock, and put a strand of moss on the drop. If the drop is not disturbed too much it will dry clear. The working time with the epoxy is longer than the super glue.

Superglue is polycyanoacrylate and it is activated by water which is why when you get it on your fingers, it sticks so fast because our hands have moisture locked into the ridges of our finger prints. When I was glueing my driftwoods together, it was drying slowly so I put a drop of water on it and bam it was done. It does have that opaque look though, if you let it dry normally with water in the atmosphere that shouldnt happen.

With the moss, I chopped mine up, put it on the rocks, and left it in a bowl covered in saran wrap. It's supposed to attach in about 5-7 days and then start to grow.
