Trimming stem plants
I have a stem plant that when i purchased was only half the height of the aquarium, but now is reaching the top of the water level. There was a period of poor lighting condition because i had a LED bulb burn out and was fixing the overpowering issue. Got that fixed and now the top half of the plant looks really lush and healthy as well as the bottom sprouting new nodes from the stems, but along the middle i have leaflets that are although still green, growing a bit of algae on them and are curling in like they are slowly dieing. My question: if i trim the leaves that look to be doing bad, will i get good growing leaves from those nodes or will i ruin the whole plant?
Image provided. I forgot the name of this plant. Thought it looks nice. Good place for fish to hide when they are scared of light/ people walking by.
