Burkert 2822
I have a SS Burkert Solenoid but the way it is there's no way to attach the power supply. Any suggestions on what to do?
![]() If you look closely it looks like the bottom part can be removed to get access to the electrical part of the solenoid. However, it is glued in place and before trying to pry it open I'd like to know if someone has a different idea. Bettatail suggested I screw two SS screws and use them as prongs to hold down the power adapter. Anyone else? Thanks! ~Cristian |

How did you do that?!!
I think that whole thing is epoxy filled. Betta's idea may be your only solution without further damaging the solenoid. If you're not afraid of cutting through the plastic, you could cut away some of the surrounding material and soldering some wires to the exposed leads. |

The wires were bent too many times (I think). I am trying to take it apart but don't know how. The two parts are glued. Ideas?

When I say "the whole thing is epoxy filled" you don't take it apart. It's solid. I would very carefully, drill two small holes that reach the wires. the find 2 copper screws and do what Bettatail recommended.

What if I screw them where the two red dots are?
![]() Or is it best to just do into the exposed wires? I'm just thinking that if done right into the wire the tiny wire will break as I screw it |

The pictured screws are too big and short.
find an old broken electronic device and take the small circuit board screws(sharp point screws and small threads diameter, about 1-2mm). use the screws on where the wires broke off, don't screw too deep, about a quarter inch is fine, or too deep will damage the coil inside.
