Just get a breeder net or breeder box. Breeder nets are like 4-8$ at Petsmart/Petco. I recommend the Top Fin breeder net, Lee's is fine too. Just a hit more expensive.

Nitrite is high. My filter is too small but I am getting a larger one tomorrow. I will run them both for a few weeks

female looks sick to me...you dont need anything special for the fry...just make sure you have cover for them like lots of plants and or floaters...

Well by the time I made it home it was too late female was belly up and as for any fry I don't see any. On a good not I did upgrade my filter to a Fluval C3.
