New 55G finally planted

Well after months of talking about it, I finally planted my 55G tank. While I'm not new to aquariums, this is my first shot at live plants, so we'll see how things turn out in a few months. I'm running a 48" dual bulb T5 light, 2 Marineland Penguin 350 bio-wheels (because there's such thing as too much filtration), a Fluval 200W submersible heater, and a 9W UV Sterilizer (it's proven to be useful). I used 2 bags of CaribSea Flora Max mixed with about 5 gallons of gravel, and a pack of Seachem root tabs. No pressurized CO2, just API liquid CO2 booster/Seachem Flourish fertilizer.
Fish:
Turquoise Rainbow x3
Australian Rainbow x3
Buenos Aires Tetra x3
Black Skirt Tetra x1
Blue Neon Tetra x8
Albino Cory Cat x2
Chinese Algae Eater x3
Zebra Danio x2
Black Kuhli Loach x1
Juli Cory Cat x2

I bought the plants from a local fish store, so they already had some growth, and we'll see how much more we can get. 5 different types, not sure on all the names, but theres a couple amazon swords, wisteria...etc.

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Suggestions?

Love the Turquoise rainbows. Be watchful for the Chinese algae eaters. They become very aggressive and really do not eat algae. I would suggest you dump them for Siamese algae eaters.

Question on your lighting. Are you are running 2 x 54W T5HO (High output)? If so, this puts you in the "high" light category. Typically, pressurized Co2 (or at least a DiY Co2) would be needed to keep algae in check. If your lighting is T5NO (normal output such as a Coralife fixture) then you should be okay w/o Co2 and will definitely be low light.

Yeah they're HO lights, and I'm aware they're too powerful...looking at replacement bulbs this week. And they told me about the algae eaters, they've been doing their jobs so far, but they're getting big already so they're on their way out too.

If algae becomes a problem, reduce the lighting period. Make sure you dose your Flourish Excel (or API equivalent) daily.

Those buenos aires tetras may cause some problems. Mine ate every single plant that hit the water.

So far they haven't been an issue, but I'll keep an eye out for that, thanks
