i have a 29 gal tank with E3 hood, it comes with 2 bulbs so to add more light i changed to an E-ballast and ODNO them 2x...for app. 51 watts....then i added a reflector behind them, i stuck it there with double sided tape 3M, the red stuff....i used the CF reflector from dr.F S http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...;N=2004+113348 .....very nice.....still wanting to upgrade i also added a 3rd t8 lite....a zoomed flora sun bulb...i attached it using a coralife endcaps and clips http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...;N=2004+113351 ....i used double sided tape and stuck it to the filter box inside the hood...i also ODNO it 2x..now i want to add a reflector to it, thinkin of using 1 for a t5 as they are slim and clip it directly to the bulb.....so im estimating im getting the equivalent of 101 watts..sweet......the tank actually holds 25 gals....ill try to post pics sometime.....

Hope the double sided tape holds. Is it designed for high moisture environments ?

its a permanent tape..its the 3m tape w/ a red backing....automakers use it to hold pieces on a car where bolts may be ugly or more expensive....ie side moldings, radiator grill covers etc......so be sure where you want something before you use it...lol

Sounds cool. I'll have to see if I can find some.

If only it would work under water, then I could get rid of all these suction cups that don't halfass work.

Yeah, problem is, they are too temporary. I can't get them to hold for any appreciable length of time.
