Finnex Ray 2 Dual 7000k?
I was looking at the Finnex Ray 2 fixtures and they come in the 10000k+actinics, Dual actinics, and Dual 7000k. It seems that the 10000k+actinics is the only one with a 12" size. What's up with that? I want the Dual 7000k, but it's too long (16" being the shortest). Is it just out of stock or something? I'd love to have a Dual 7000k or even a 10000k+actinics Finnex Ray 2 come in a 10" fixture. That would be perfect for my tanks!

The 12" ray 2 is a new product so I would assume there just isn't any stock yet for the dual 7000k. The other possibility is that given the high PAR on such a fixture, maybe Finnex doesn't think there's a market for it outside of reef tanks?

So they do have a 12" Dual 7000k? Hopefully they come out with a 10" fixture for the Dual 7000k and the 10000k+actinics in the future!
I've got two 10x10x12 tanks side by side. One is a reef and the other is a planted. It's a shame I can't use the Finnex Ray 2 on either of them since they're too long, and I don't want to resort to using the FugeRay 10" since the PAR rating is so low at 12". |
