AquaSoil to deep?

I'm working out my hardscaping in my 12g long and I dumped in a full bag of ada amazonia. Currently the rear right corner is the deepest and is 6" deep. Is that too deep? I'm not asking about aesthetics but about issues that may arise in the future... gasses trapped in the soil and that sort of thing.

I don't think so... I've seen Amano do tanks over a foot deep at the back. Then again, I know he doesn't always keep his scapes for long.
