Medicating fish?

I have a fish in a quarantine tank with meds. The instructions, all in Japanese ;( only say how much to put in per liter.

What is the norm for how long I should keep the fish in there and how long the meds last before I have to do a water change and add more meds?

If you provide a clear scan, I can translate the instructions for you (if there are more instructions on how to use the medication).

Thanks that will help. Here's the scans, hopefully there is a bit more info in there.

Looks like you are treating for Ich, fin rot or some fungal infection.

The product you are using is malachite green - there are no explicit instructions regarding duration of dosing. The dosage rate is 1 mL / 10 litres of water. You might be better off looking for a similar product with English instructions online, and then following that treatment protocol.

The only thing the instructions does say is that if you have plants, you should change at least 50% of the water "after treatment" (however long that is).

You will also want to be aware that malachite green will stain everything (silicone, hardscape, clothing, countertops, etc).

Default Medicating fish?

Wow that helps a lot, now that I know what I'm using! Thank you very much!

Good thing I quarantined before treating. I think she has a fungus infection.
