Glomat kit

Any one ever use glowmat ballast kits as seen here:

I would be very interested to hear of your experiences, specifically, how they compare to more off the shelf solutions and how you incorporated them into a hood or canopy.

Hey tuvok,

I am curently using 3 of the Hagen Glo-Mat Electronic Ballast Kit 2 X 40 Watt on a 125g and am not impressed. The length of cable between the end caps and the balllast are too short, so I can't attach them to the cabinet. They kind of just hang down behind the back glass of the tank.

I however have not found a replacement ballast that would fit that price range, and do what I want.
