Tissue Culture Plants
Hey all!
We have begun carrying Tissue Culture plants via Anubias based in Italy. So far they have been enormously successful for our planted tanks in all of our test runs, and a few members here have had some so far and replicated the success. At this time, we are mostly doing arranged orders on shipments every two weeks. Here is the full availability list and prices / notes for the series: Linea Cups are cup portions that are about the size of a normal potted plant, plant portions are typically 1.5x-3x what you get in a normal pot. Contact me via PM or via email at frankw@aquariumdesigngroup.com for any specific requests, orders or further information. Not yet - at the moment we're doing an order basis to preserve quality. Before we put it up on a regular stock on the website, we want to make sure that we have the proper holding facility and the proper demand level to guarantee that what you get is a green, healthy, plant. At the moment the best way to guarantee this is to order smaller, consistently on a request basis. If you'd like to make an order, PM or email me directly (frankw@aquariumdesigngroup.com) Quote:

ADG should invest in a good growth chamber to hold these plants ina climate controlled condition so they are in good shape during storage and when you 1st get them in. This does not require a huge space. Then you have access to back stock and do not need to immediately ship after they arrive.
Higher quality and less loss.

Awesome!
Out of curiosity, are these better than buying the actual plant? What's the advantage of buying tissue cultured plants (if any?) The price definitely seems competitive or cheaper than what's on the market right now though!

The next shipment arrives March 28th! Any existing orders will ship within the following Monday so they do not sit over the weekend in mailing boxes.

I have heard rumors that the plants struggle less on acclimation to a new tank, which makes sense for several reasons, but I don't have proof of this.
