My guess would be mini pellia, if it can get that thick.

Mini pelia was my first thought, someone else who I saw ask this question on another forum thought it may be marimo moss balls (algae, yes I know) my bet would be very well trimmed mini pellia

woah!! These are expensive... I think i'll use them in my project!! I really like the look on rocks
