Unidentified aquarium heater
So one of my friends moved a while ago, and left me his 55 gallon. I was digging around in the equipment box and found an aquarium heater. I wasn't able to find any information regarding quality/wattage/etc. It's glass and on the black lid it says "Whisper". Other than that there is no text whatsoever, except for the characters "05G23" printed on the top. Does anyone recognize this?
So is this too powerful to use in a 5 gallon nano?

It's a tetra brand whisper heater. Go look up the dimensions of each of the different wattages they offer and see which matches yours

Mine must be extremely outdated, because all the models I have searched up have black suction cups as well as a little node at the end. Guess I'll put it in a 5 gal bucket overnight to see what happens.

The suction cups are typically held to the heater with a removeable plastic clip and the 'node' at the end falls off all the time so I wouldn't use those features to compare. Just use the length of the heater for your comparisons.
