Driftwood

What beach/area in Oahu to find the best looking driftwood? Preferably branchy driftwoods.

or Rocks? Anyone? I'll have free time this long weekend (3 days!) to browse the island.

I was just down at Magic Island (Ala Moana) this past weekend and there was a ton of driftwood on the Diamond head side(towards the boat harbor/alawai canal/ala moana bowls surf break).

Ala Wai canal...hhmmmm.
Ok, I'll try to go there. Thanks!

What about North shore? Is it good to collect rocks there?

Man I'll bet you guys can collect some awesome hardscape materials-- with all the volcanic rock and all. Do you have any idea how cool the idea of collecting rocks around the Hawaiian coastline sounds to us mainlanders?? Please savor the moment a minute for me and how precious that opportunity is!! Please do share what you find!

I once heard that if you are living somewhere in the world or place most people tend to not visit and deeply appreciate whatís available in their area; thinking that the area will always be there--work could not be hold off--and therefore push aside when they will visit the places.

This was my rationale at the beginning, but this summer Iíll try to change that--hopefully. There is alot of places for me to visit and revisit.

Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera at the moment to share if I do find something for my tank, sorry.
