If I can grow Madagascar Lace, can I grow HC?

So I've been really struggling with what foreground plant to get and can't make up my mind. My #1 choice is HC, I just love the look of and DHG was my 2nd choice but I don't think it would give me the carpet effect very well.

That being said, I have quite a few plants in my 10g including a madagascar lace which I pruned and has sprouted 2 new leaves so far this week. One leaf is about 3/4" long and the other sprouted and grew to about 2" long/1/2" wide in a matter of about 6 days so it seems to be doing very well. I've known these plants to be extremely difficult to grow as well as HC but my thinking is if my madagascar can do it, HC should be fine as well. What are your guys' thoughts?

-Running DIY CO2
-Dosing Flourish every day
-Running 1 CFL @ 15W and another 10W 50/50 aquarium bulb.

No. Madagascar Lace is NOT as hard as people make it out to be, and it can tolerate a wide range of conditions.

HC needs high lighting, a lot of fertilization, and most importantly god co2. I wouldn't even want to mess with it without pressurized co2, and I think just using DIY on it would not give you good results.

If you want a carpet, go with either DHG Belem, or Glosso. I find that these do not need co2 as much as HC does.

Ok great to know, I've seen some pictures of glossy and love the look but it sometimes doesn't look too full. I'm assuming that's just a result of fresh planting and not enough time to fill in?

Yah, trust me it fills in. I need to trim it back because it fills in almost too well
