My DIY tank stands
Zar stain and AquaZar poly. Sides, doors and inside bottom panels are made with pre-glued panels from Home Depot. "Shelf" on the back lets me hug the wall and still have room for my HOB equipment.

Beautiful cabinet. I wish I was handy enough to make something so nice looking.
Your dogs are soooo cute. They look like big cuddlers. |

The red boy's a goofball, always has to be the center of attention. The blue girl's a bit of a worrier, but scary intelligent. Those Aussies managed to breed a whole lot of dog into a 40-lb package.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your total cost for supplies for this?

The freshwater stand was built 6-7 years ago and materials cost about $70 then. The saltwater is 6" wider and was built just a couple of months ago for about $110 in material. They each have a shelf inside that I didn't show. The end panels, doors, and inside bottom are made from panels of glued-up pine boards from Home Depot. I want to say that a 2' x 6' panel was around $30, and I used two of them. Front panels are 1" x 6" boards put together with glue and pocket screws. They are done in pine to match the rest of my living room. You might be able to do a little better on price with plywood. From start to finish I can do one of these in a weekend.
