CheW's HiTech 20Long Tank Revival

So after getting a puppy and ignoring my fish tanks for a few months I finally started getting back into the routine. I had this tank up and running for a few months and just got a little in over my head. I had a tank full of hair algae and killed off most of my shrimp because I didn't know what I was doing. I've now figured out a little bit more about planted tanks and this is what the tank looks like now.


This is what it looked like when I started out.



This is some of the Hygro Pinnatifida I've been growing. When I bought my shrimp in Julyish of 2012 I had 1 stem.



I'm still trying to get the DHG to fill in like I want. I started trimming it and it sent out new runners but some of it started to brown. If it doesnt start to look better by the time I get another co2 regulator for another tank I'm going to put the starougyne repens from that tank in and take the hairgrass out. I hope I dont have to because I didn't enjoy replanting the hairgrass.

Rili Shrimp (whats left after my fiasco)

your R. walliichii and H. pinn have some great coloring.
