where to purchase acrylic sheets
Ok, I know this has been asked before. I did a search and out of the 21 results for this section of the site I didn't see an appropriate thread.
I'm looking to build my own sump with acrylic and probably need 2 or 3 4' sheets.

home depot has 1/4 inch thick ones. If you need something thicker, there are plenty of sites that sell them. It gets expensive. More than glass I think. Cutting thick ones by yourself isn't fun unless you have a fine mechanical saw.

I suppose 1/4" would probably do it over that length since it'll have baffles welded in.

www.eplastics.com also sells, cuts to size, and edge finishes in a variety of ways. Haven't used them for this, or compared prices against TAP Plastics; it's just another option I know about.
My local Home Depot does carry 1/4" acrylic, but will NOT cut this thickness for you, only the thinner stuff.

Check locally for a plastics supplier... they are usually cheaper than HD and will also cut to size.
