anyone have any ideas on low-med lighting?
I have been searching amazon and TFP alot and have seen some nice double LEDs cheap for my 48 inch setup, but im still a bit shakey on what i really am looking at.

So the 55 gal has some more equipment added this weekend!

Aquaticlife T5HO Dual Bulb Fixture

Glass Canopies

Marineland C-360 Canister filter

I placed more plants in the tank, so from what I remember this is my plant list.(im sorry if the spelling is wrong or if I only have the common name, but I am doing this from memory at the moment.)

1x Rotalia Indicia
1x water cabbage
1x Lace Java Fern
2x Java Fern
1x Giant Subulata
2x Hornwort
1x some type of crypto with large oval reddish leaves. nice looking plant.
3x Amazon Sword (currently small ones.)
a small floating clump of pennywort
and some java moss I added today

I am dosing liquid c02 every other day. so what do you guys think?

This is my first real tank and we are about a month into it. WQ as of 2 nights ago was ph 7.1, zeros across the board on everything else. Ill have to take better pics next time I get a day off (not this week for certain) but here is one I thought turned out well.

Hey everyone...new to the party here. I'm in the Harrisburg area as well and just getting started with the planted tank hobby. Got a ten gallon and five gallon I have plants in. Would love to meet up with some people to exchange or buy more plants for the tanks as I have a 29 gallon I'm going to be setting up soon as well.

Hoping to find some...went to That Fish Place, looked on here, called some buddies...no luck. I have 72 Watts of T5-HO lighting and a double dose of homemade CO2 generators going on my ten gallon...this baby grows plants like nobody's business. I suspect the HC would take off very quickly in the tank. Looking for some other unique and odd plants for it. Currently I have riccia, java moss, salvinia minima, wisteria, banana plants, java ferns and Amazon swords in it.

My current batch took me 8 months to root...so hopefully its gona keep going...once i get it to grow ill be glad to share

Wow...that's a long time! If you have a little to spare at some point I could try it in mine and share it back with you. I have never had any trouble with my tank rejecting plants. They usually start growing out of the tank no sooner than I put them in, lol.
