I'm not trying to take away from this site or get members to move or anything like that with this post. I, probably like a bunch of you, visit a lot of sites about planted tanks and aquariums in general. One of those is plantgeek.com and I keep getting a page that says the account is suspended. I know that I've not done anything to get suspended and when I google that site being hacked, I get piles of pages that seem to be hacked by the same idiot.

Has anybody else experienced this? Does anybody know how to contact any of the admins or whatever for that site to see whether or not it's been hacked or if I am truly suspended?

I like visiting a lot of these sites for the DIY sections and I've been looking for information about building a sump correctly for a planted tank.

You're not suspended, the site is. Could be a number of possibilities as to why - they didn't pay their bill, they passed their bandwidth limit, so forth.

I thought it was just a forum spammer, but it does look like at least individual accounts were hacked. *shrugs* Perhaps the owner just took it down to fix everything before putting it back up.. I think this has happened to the site in the past.

Though, Plantgeek hasn't been updated in like what.. 5 years? How much valuable information could there really be that's exclusive to that site?

Well I don't guess none (valuable information) but I was just looking at it the other day and thumbing around and then it goes all MIA. I was mostly wondering if anyone else had seen it or was it just me. I just find it so hard to understand what accomplishment somebody feels they've made by hacking a website like that... all by some exploit that they may have found, just stupid in my opinion.
