amazon swords


my amazon swords have started to send up what looks like a flower spike with possible plantlets on it, if i leave it to grow will i be able to get worthwhile plants from it? Or is it best to remove the spike? cheers

You can either cut the palntlet and let it grow into another plant, or let it go. Large mature Am. swords in large tanks can have a number of such plantlets and look real cool.

I let mine go and in about 1 month or so I ended up getting 8 new swords off of the stem.

Cool, il just let it grow and grow, hopefully il get some decent plants from it in the long term.
