First Berried RCS hatching!
I had seen all the photos of this process but it is quite amazing to watch in person! I feel like I'm the one holding the eggs while my babies hatch!
She is all over the place popping them out. It is normal for her to seem restless ? I've seen 5 shrimplets so far but she was SUPER berried and she still has quite a few eggs. This is so cool! Hope my water parameters are back to normal. |

Yeah. She'll swim all over the place. You won't see the babies much for a while. Even in my lightly planted tank, they disappear. To the point that I think they're dead, but in a week or two, they redden up and they'll come out of hiding

I just counted 8 I could see on the glass so I'm assuming there's lots more in all the plants and moss! She's still going at it too. How long is the average between the first hatch and the last?

I've had it take 24 hours on neos to finish hatching. Some of my other species can take 2-3 days to get everybody hatched out.

How soon do the babies molt after hatching?
