The 50W titanium heater from Catalina Aquarium is about the size you're looking for, and adjustable to within 2 F. It's recommended for aquariums from 2.5 to 15 gallons

I second this - these are great heaters for nano tanks (keeps one of my 10's at 78).

I'm looking for one for my 2.5 gallon. Do you think this heater would work? All I'm finding are heaters set for 78, and that would be a tad warm for shrimp. But I don't want the tank to get too cold for some of the plants I want. Ideally, I'd like to find one that keeps it around 75-76. Our house remains cool in the winter, so I'm worried about things getting chilled. Probably wouldn't need it in summer. Thanks!

Thank you for this recommendation. This heater rocks. It was a little expensive but it looks great and fits my tank better than my old heater. My shrimps are happy at the consistent 70 degree mark.
