I think that sulawesi snails reproduce very slowly. I imagine they'd be safe for RCS but they require hard water and a high temp, so make sure your parameters are in line.

They needs temps between 78 and 84 F, a pH of 7.5+ and they will eat your plants. They give live birth to one snail per month, so they reproduce slowly.

will they eat all kinds of plants or certain ones? if so is there any other type of unique snails that would get along with RCS and breed very slow? |

Thiara winteri get to about 1.5 to 2 inches, and they burrow like mts. Not quite as much as mts, but they still spenda good portion of their ttime under the substrate.

i had pagodas (brotia pagodula) give birth in freshwater, though they were very difficult to keep for any amount of time with much success.

I have had good survival keeping Pagodas with my rabbit snails under Sulawesi conditions. I have had no success with the Thiara winteri snails. They have all died on me, in a variety of conditions.

Yellow Antenna Rabbit snails are considered safe for most plants. As to Pagoda snails, they tend to do best with a high current and oxygen levels in the tank.

I found Pagodas at my local fish store. Maybe yours could order you some. Bob's Tropical Plants has the Thiara winteri if you wanted to try your hand at those. Good luck!
