How many shrimp?
So I was looking to buy some Amano's for my 125 and wasn't sure on how many is a good number to start with......so how many should I get?

As far as I know, amano shrimps will not reproduce in freshwater. So it depends on what livestock you already have in your tank. 125 gallon is a big tank, how about 5-10.

They will reproduce but they are born as larve. The larve need SW to survive.
Well if you have 3 in 10g that would be 37 in a 125g....how did you get 5-10? No other livestock in tank right now (shrimp will be first)...plan on tetras, oto's, couple pleco's.

I have 24 in a 55G.
I added in random numbers by what the store had on hand. It was at least 6-8 each time or even less sometimes. |
