Will this be good tank for my first planted?
The tank I'm looking to get is the Fluval Vicenza 180, which will be my first tank I've had in a while, and also my first time trying a planted tank.
The hood comes with 2 24W T5 bulbs without reflectors. Will this provide enough light for a planted tank? They're 2' bulbs, so they don't run the full length of the tank. It comes with a Fluval 205 filter, rated up to 40 gallons, but this is ~48, which as a package from the manufacture is weird that it doesn't match. It looks really nice, and I like that its predrilled with fittings for the external filter. I guess another question is if its worth the $650 price. I apologize if there is a better forum section for this question, this is my first post and want to have the right equipment to start off with. Thanks! |

In my novice opinion there are more economical starter tanks.

IMHO that is expensive for what you get. I was browsing petsmart website and you can get a tank/ stand combo way cheaper, and even a bigger size if u want, for way less. Most of those deals are in store only though.

Here's something similar for $350 but you would probably need a better light and it doesn't come with a filter.
