how do you plant Hydrocotyle sp Japan?

HI, i just brought some from a local hobbyist, and it was realllly cold where we were meeting, so i didn't ask too many qustions.

How do you plant theses? They have stems kind of like Brazilian pennywort. But they are a carpet plant right? I think the person that sold them to me told me to just stick them into the substrate.

DO i cut them into sections?

Yes, I would recommend cutting them if you need to to separate them, that way it fills faster.
