HEY EVERYONE

SO I FINALLY CAME UP WITH A SCHEME FOR MY 20 GALLON TANK,

neon tetra species tank WITH DWARF SAG, RED MELON SWORDS N WATER SPRITE AS THE PLANTS

2 QUESTIONS

HOW MANY NEONs CAN I SHOCK IN THIS TANK 15? 20? 25?

BETTER FISH STORE PLACE 2 BUY NEONS? WIN? PACIFIC? FISH TOWN? PETSMART? PETLAND?

ALL ANSWERS ARE WELCOME

a dozen neon would be a good number to start. I buy them from petsmart only cuz their the only big chain in my area and their stock are somewhat ok. I find petland to be a bit more expensive.

Why neon tetra? why not Cardinals...or Green Tetra? My personal choice is Cardinals...Win carries them for $1/each. I would start with 10ish and go up to 50-60..assuming 20 gal long tank..
You must have good filter and regular weekly water change is needed to keep the herd happy..

I agree here, cardinals have the same colors as neons, and are a better choice IMO, but if you really like neons then go for it.

Even adult shrimp aren't safe around tetras. Even if they appear to be at first, its only a matter of time before the tetras realize that shrimp are delicious.
