Low Tech. Thats me all the way

As a paraeducater... I simply cant afford to spend 1000s to set up a tank. In fact I usualy get the tank free then DIY the rest

I'm always looking for new DIY projects to improve my tanks.

Currently my latest DIY is that I would like a better lighting set up that allows my flowering plants room to bloom but also doesnt alow room for my cats to 'go fishing'.

I have some plans that Ive drawn up but I'm just not sure about how to do the electrical work. That stuff kinda scares me a bit still. Ideas?

please show us what you are thinking. You may want to post this in the DIY section as well. If you have not read it there is a thread in the FAQ section called ODNO fluorescent lighting well worth the read.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
