T5 bulbs for planted tank

How often should I change the bulbs and whats the best bulbs for max plant growth?

Depends on how expensive is your plant investment.

I use T5HO bulbs 12-24 from substrate, and only change then when they burn out or look like they're about to (noticeable color/intensity change, large burned glass endcaps).

CFL bulbs & T5s, think about the plants you're keeping and height/intensity are a factor, but so are circulation (water changes) & nutrients(CO2, N-P-K, mcronutrients)
