The way shift did is exactly the way I set it up. I never did see any eggs but the fry eventually appeared after about 5 days.

I just put a few cpd's in with the mesh setup yesterday. I will leave them in for a few days and see what happens. I got 14-19 fry in my planted tank with removing the parents. Ill let you know how this one works out. So far they adults are all hiding in the mop. So hopefully they are getting it on

Your fry are looking great. Can't wait to see mine grow.
I actually set up two small breeder nets, with 1M/1F in each, and this morning, as I removed the yarn mops from the nets, I found some eggs! I counted at least 6 of them. More babies!

1 male/1 female in a breeder net filled with yarn/breeding mop. I took the mop out everyday at inconsistent times due to work/school (anywhere from 11AM to 5PM), and put the mop on the fry side of the tank. I put in a new mop with the breeding pair and rotated it out the next day. I did this for about a week with two breeding pairs. I now have about ~30 fry. I'm sure if I were more early and consistent with removing the mops, I would have more fry.

Sounds like the plan if I ever get serious about breeding my CPDs!

I didn't try to breed my CPD's, they just did in my fluval edge. I have 12 fry.
Looks like you did a great job |
