Stand/Canopy Options?
I am having a new stand/canopy built soon I decide on wood type. I plan to stain the wood dark color.
I rather go with birch as it would lower the cost, but thinking oak would look better? Any thoughts on this, I don't know much about wood working. |

Check out my avatar. Had a stand custom built for my 56 gallon column tank. Since it was going to be black, yellow poplar was used to keep the cost down. It's very solid and I'm really pleased with the selction of wood.

I'm not sure. Had it built through Preuss Pets in Lansing MI. The paint finish is very resistant to water damage and very durable though. I should probably find out what was used in case I want to touch it up in the future.
