Thanks, I like it too. I have had the 2-10W leds going for about a 3 weeks on the 2.5G with glosso dosing excel and nutrients and had slow but noticeable growth. The glosso was shooting runners as it was starting to settle into the substrate. I hope I can get better growth with CO2 on this one.

Got some Elatine Hydropiper from Poland - it died the first time during shipping but the seller was kind enough to send more portions for free packed to survive the cold trip to Canada!

Found some time during this weekend to plant the Elatine and some background plants for the tank. Got the CO2 counter and diffuser in the mail as well. Time to see how things grow under these LEDs. Enjoy!

Two day update - water has cleared and plants are doing well except for the Elatine. I hope it is makes it as its all I have left. The ludwigia on the left has a bright red developing at the top few leaves and the ludwigia on the right is staying a bright red orange so the LEDsay be working very well but we will see what happens with the Elatine.

Thanks it turned out pretty well I think.
Here's a picture of the tank as it sits. Most of the Hydropiper died off but there are small clumps recovering now so hopefully it can grow in eventually. The ludwigias are colouring nicely and growing at a decent rate. Last edited by CivilPlanter; 02-21-2013 at 05:15 AM.. Reason: Pic added |

Here's a pic from today. The plants are filling in and the Hydropiper is coming back slowly. Don't mind the algae haven't been keeping up with weekly water changes. Anyways the 10w LEDs are doing great and the plants really like them - the tops near the water are noticeably more red. Enjoy!
