These pictures are taken from my 53 gallon tank after i got rid of the blueish cyano. You can see the greenish hairalges-like cyano covering my (nice  ), hairgrass field...

 YIKES !
You gotsa bad, bad, bad nutrient and lighting balance there my friend ... what the heck are you dosing that tank with , how often you doing water changes and is this tank getting hit with sunlight ? That is outta control in a big way... I would first physically remove as much as I could , do a 50 % water change to reset the nutrients and leave the lights off for a day or 2... that stuff usually loves sunlight and/or extended lighting periods and is afraid of the dark. :hehe: But man, there is something whacked here and Im leaning towards a lighting issue for it to get that bad.

I'm looking at that sig too. If I interpret it correctly, it looks like you have 300 watts over that tank. That puts you at 5.6 WPG. Now being MH ou might have them mounted a higher over the tank, but even still that seems like an aweful lot of light going into that tank.
Anyone know the formula for light breakdown over a distance? Isn't it something inversely proportional to the distance?

Thank you guys....In the past i always used to have T8-tubes, that was sooo much easier (you can see it a little bit in my avatar). On one day my LFS was so kind too lend me this mh hood (dual 150 watt ts-bulbs). Of course i said yes and then the trouble started.
My photoperiod is 8 hours...My critter are: 40 Cardinal Tera's, 10 Black Tetra's, 5 Hyphessobrycon Ornatus, 4 Apistogramma's, 4 Amano Shrimps. Buck you're right about the Co2, it IS too little, i placed one bottle extra this week, and was doing a blackout for 3 days... further, these are mine waterparameters (before adding the extra Co2 bottle) Ph: 8 Kh: 8 mS: 7,15 NO2: 0 NO3: 0 Are those bubbles, coming from cyano, oxygen or some poissonous gass?

Well, I can see that nitrates need to be dosed up, but what is NO4?

On the plus side, you have one of the prettiest algae outbreaks I have ever seen. I imagine it looks a lot like a wind-swept grassy plain in your filter's current.

Welll, it WAS a wind-swept grassy plain before the BGA strikes. But i'm on the winning site, the BGA is dimishing very quickly. Thanks to the CO2 my plants are riviving. Soon i will be posting my pics of a BGA-free aquarium
