New dp tank

so I have this 11gal (18"l x 12"w x 12"d) rimless I was going to make a hi-tech tank.
but after going to a LFS my wife and I fell in love with the dwarf puffers.
So it looks like scratching the hi-tech thing and going toward that direction.

I'm new to this hobby (only my 3rd tank

) so i'm just wanting opinions on how to setup the tank. I read the DP don't like high light and so I will need to stay in the med light range.
anyone recommend a good med. LED light? no CO2..

im going to use a canister filter Ehiem 2217? too much? and would a spraybar be better? suggestion on filter?

I have only bought the tank and still researching the rest so any suggestions and opinions would be great..
any tank pic on DP would be great
also is 3 DP too many for my tank?

I have been keeping my 4 DPs in a high-light, co2-injected 17g tank with a bunch of ottos with no issues that I can think of:

That's good to hear. I might just stick to my hi-tech plan then. Guess I'm not sure how sensitive the DP are

One tip I was given about puffers turned out to be true:

be sure there are lots of visual barriers in the tank, so that each puffer can have a little area that is 'theirs' and not have eye contact with others. They really do seem to need this.

When first got my puffers, the tank wasn't grown in enough and one of them finally settled into a tiny little crevice behind the filter intake - just to get some privacy!

now I have a bunch of hygro with broad leaves in the center of the tank, so there are tons of places where they can get some privacy.

they are amazing little fish. you might consider starting up a snail factory like I did - a 2.5g tank from PetCo and you have 80% of their food taken care of.

I have read the same. Def going to pack it with tall plants
I have snail factory already. (10gal betta planted tank tons of snails) I been putting off getting some assassin snails just for this reason.
I really searching for a light now. I want LED. Leaning toward the Finnex Ray 2.
Anyone see a problem? Too much Light for a DP?
