Regulator to co2 tank fitting

I just got a regulator from Taiwan...I guess I should have checked it out a bit better. The fitting on my co2 tank is CGA320 and this regulator, although the nut does thread onto the tank, the inside spout of the reg is too big and sits on instead of going into, the tank fittings hole. So, when I thread the nut onto the tank it tightens on pretty nicely but as I mentioned, because the inside spouts sits on the tank fitting instead of fitting inside, the seal isn't made well and co2 just rushes out. My question is, has anyone else had this problem? I think it might be a diffrent fitting on the regulator, but its weird that that regs nut threads nicely onto the tank... If it is a diffrent fitting, does anyone know where to buy an adapter for CGA320?

Maybe it's a European fitting. Have you tried a permaseal. Seems like I saw the other day that someone had a similar issue with one of the gla regs.

If it was purchased in Taiwan, it will not be European standard, but the JIS (Asian) standard, unless you specifically asked for a regulator for use in North America.

These do not fit on North American CO2 cylinders, as el Caspar (may have) has found out.

A Permaseal will not help if the fitting is wrong, as it is meant to replace nylon washers that are placed between the CGA320 stem and nut and the CO2 cylinder. However...

I am not too sure what you mean by this -- a photo would be extremely helpful, since you are referring to parts using non-standard terminology.

The CGA320 stem is not supposed to fit into the CO2 cylinder nozzle, as it is not tapered, unlike a CGA580 stem. As Sugardaddy1979 mentioned, a washer (either nylon or Permaseal) needs to be placed between the CO2 cylinder and the stem/nut.
