Stocking

Hey everybody, I have this 50 gallontank that is already cycled and stocked with 9 harlequin rasboras, 2 kissing gouramis (will be moved into a pond when they grow) and 4 horseface loaches. What other fish can I buy? I was thinking of another schooling fish maby and a big fish?

Buy like 20 more harlequin rasbora. They will look amazing

That is an awesome idea, but I really want a centerpiece fish... Which could be housed with a rasbora school?

You could add 11 more rasboras and 6 3- to 4-inch discus. Not too hard a fish to keep really. They just need warm clean water and a good diet.

Wait, did you say 4 horsefaced loach in a 50 gallon tank?!
Isn't that too much? They can grow to about 12".

Get a shoal of pearl gouramis! They do well in groups, though they are not true schooling fish, they will hang out together and if you get 5-7 you'll have some amazing colors when the males start breeding. They do great with harlequins and loaches.

OOOOoooooooo I forgot about pearl gouramis. They're one of the best fish to put in with harlequins. The colors contrast perfectly and the gouramis aren't piscivores like angelfish, meaning that the rasboras won't be in danger of being eaten.

2 pairs of angels... or 4 fish... get them semi young, but paired.... i loved my angels +schoolers

add some german blue ram or other type of ram. Great colors and personality.
