Think I may have found a new addiction...

Finally made the jump and decided to hop on a tank forum! I can't wait to share all my experiences, albeit somewhat limited at this point.

First a little about me, I am currently a senior in college and graduating in spring but first and foremost I would describe myself as a fisherman. This is kind of what got me into keeping tanks in the first place and I would always raise little bluegill, tadpoles, and whatnot as a young kid.

I have had tanks for pretty much all my life and sometimes kept a few plants, but this is my first real effort to have an aquatic planted tank. I decided to take the leap after my gold-belly piranhas died after about a decade of keeping them (died on vacation cause my power went out and my bro didn't turn everything back on not even old age wish I had some pics things were absolute beasts!!!) and wanted something cleaner. Since I also love plants and terrariums/vivariums it was a no brainer.

Anyways to stop from digressing, I now have a low-tech 55 that has been a work in progress and taught me a lot already. I also recently got a JBJ picotope that I am using to hold/propagate some plants in for now until I re-build my vivarium (which i am putting a little planted water section in) then I plan on putting a wicked little aquascape in it and some small inverts.

Can't wait to meet some great people on here and get some inspiration and much-needed advice.

Thought I would add my dream planted tank as it sounded like a cool idea- 300+ Gallon coldwater stream tank with some small brook trout!!! Maybe someday a fisherman can dream right
I may try to catch your fish if they are big enough
