Some of the CO2 cylinders I seen have whats called a CGA 320 Valve. Its just a star wheel looking valve with a female threaded output. Is this the same tanks to use for our planted fishtanks?I mean how do I match a regulator to it,does it just take any standard CO2 regulator made in America??Will that one from CustomAquatics for $89 fit this CGA 320 valve??Please explain.

To the best of my knowledge that is exactly the fitting you want to match up with the regulators we use. :hehe:
Eheim pimp #128, 55gal 13x20x48, Eheim Pro 2227, CO2 injected, into the filter breather tube,4x 55w Pcs , 12 hr light cycle (sunrise/sunset simulated), Milwaukee SMS 122, faulty bubble counter replaced with M3 bubble counter..... moderately Planted, Plantex CSM+B and ferts

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research

I'm in agreement, the CGA320 standard is a North American compressed gas standard for C02 tanks. Any 'standard' C02 regulator will fit the CGA320 specs. Every type of gas cylinder has a spec, I don't know what Oxygen is, but it would be something like CGA480, argon might be CGA520 and so-on. The standard includes whether it's forward/reverse thread, threads/inch, male female, material and I'm sure a few other things.

The standards are intended to protect users from using inappropriate cylinder/regulator combinations thereby endangering themselves. That said, I have heard of people adapting O2 regulators onto C02 bottles. Wouldn't advise it though.
