Amano shrimp and fish
So how do Amano shrimp do with other fish? Particularly medium sized tetras? Such as head and tail light tetras or fish around the same size?
They're quite large as I recall aren't they? so wouldn't it be more difficult to become a snack? |

They are generally okay with fish up to 3-4 inches as long as the fish aren't particularly nippy. I have some with GBRs and everything seems okay.

I tried a couple of amanos with my Serpae, Von Rio and white skirt tetras. They lasted maybe 3 days. I also got a bamboo shrimp thinking that his large size would keep him safe. Same thing. Shrimp are tasty to them.

I have a few in a 10 gallon tank with 5 full grown tetras and they are fine....I haven't seen any issues with them and the amanos are getting to be a good size.
